Meet Joy Ladin. She is Jewish and Trans. She has been a professor of English at Yeshiva University, an Orthodox institution in New York City. She has been a husband and father, as well as an accomplished scholar and teacher. She is known for her enterprising and open transition between genders. She has taught us all more about being with our own gender, the gender of those around us and what it means to be Jewish and all that we authentically are. Joy Ladin is a widely published essayist and a nationally known speaker on transgender issues and Jewish spirituality.
